Now with a few days left for board exams to get over, it’s time to focus again for JEE and NEET exams which are scheduled in the next two months.
We suggest these tips to follow.
1. Practising more and more mock tests
During the two-year preparation, students are unable to attempt a sufficient number of mock tests due to syllabus completion and unpreparedness for the topics.
Now it’s time to plan a 3-hour mock test every day, alternate day or twice a week as per your comfort zone. It can be broken into 1-hour subject-wise tests as well. The more number you attempt, the better will be your understanding of your preparation and reflection.
2. Revision of syllabus
This revision is very very important at this stage. Many times students feel they have already completed their topics and feel no need for revision. Even quick revision of strong topics and especially formulae will make it stronger. The total number of days available should be divided for revision to cover the best number of topics.
3. Understanding theory and practising numerical
Dividing time for theory and attempting questions is very important. Try to follow the materials which you have already attempted and avoid using new materials unless and until you have already completed full revision.
4. Good solid daily plans
A crisp and daily schedule will help you immensely at this stage. Plan for days left now, divide your subjects and put them into revision schedules. Avoid time waste due to unnecessary discussions or distractions, keep all stationary near your access and sit with full focus every day. Take breaks to rejuvenate your mind and body.
5. Avoiding rumours and limiting social media use
We get various news related to examination patterns, dates, syllabus etc. Try to get authentic information and set aside time to see or discuss all these issues.
Though your preparation is completed and it’s time for revision and reflection, good planning at this stage is very crucial. Follow your teacher and mentor’s advice.
