ARE YOU REGULARLY DOING TEST PAPER ANALYSIS TO FIND YOUR MISTAKES?

As we know, giving regular mock tests is an integral part of JEE and NEET preparation, it is equally important to understand the significance of analyzing these papers on a regular basis.

We tell you how paper analysis helps you improve your preparation and helps you score better for next tests.

1.Paper analysis helps you learn time management during tests

If during a test few students could finish the questions but you were unable to attempt the full test, it means there might be a problem of improper time management. In such a case time management is important as each minute has a lot of value.

2.Paper analysis helps you in understanding the difficulty level of questions to attempt wisely

Leaving the lengthy questions and attempting easier questions first is a good strategy. You can judge for yourself whether you got stuck on the difficult questions. If yes, your time is wasted like this because you could’ve scored better with attempting all easier questions. Leaving tough and lengthy questions comes with practice and analysis.

3.Paper analysis helps in discovering conceptual problems

When you analyse papers, you discover a topic or subtopic which may be weak or one where you are making consistent mistakes. You can judge the same and take steps to improve it.

4.Paper analysis helps in deciding chronology or sequence of subject

When you analyse, you can judge whether you should attempt chemistry first or physics or maths or biology. You can optimise your sequence of subjects with regular practice and analysis.

5.Paper analysis helps in reducing negative marks

With regular analysis, you can improve and reduce your negative marks as you learn when to leave a question. Guesswork may harm you more.

6. Paper analysis helps you compare with previous marks and others

Analyzing your tests regularly helps you understand the tricks and methods and improve your performance. You feel motivated to do better in each test. If you score less, it shouldn't make you sad.

So simply giving the tests is more useful when you combine it with regular analysis, learn from your mistakes and try to improve upon them. This helps you during final exam day when the test becomes as simple as a stroll in the park.
