This week is for the first attempt of JEE Main 2025. We suggest some very basic yet very important things to remember for students appearing for this exam.

1. Time management during exam/ Grab all positive marks first

It’s become difficult to attempt all questions during the three hours of exam as solving takes some time. It is not advisable to get stuck at lengthy or difficult questions and move on faster to other questions as the next question may be easier. You can score the best possible positive marks  by attempting all the questions you know. Once you have answered these types of questions, you can think of attempting the other questions which you left in first go. Be careful of attempting a question which you are not sure of answering, it will increase the risk of negative marking.

2. Avoiding silly mistakes

In order to attempt the maximum number of questions, students make silly mistakes while reading the question or understanding the answers. Even small calculations done wrongly. It’s very important to keep a focused and cool mind to read and attempt the questions properly and then attempt them.

3. Sleep and nutrition

Your nutrition, water intake and sleep is even more important now prior to the exam days. Eight hours of sleep, wake up and sleep time and meal timings aligned with your exam day timings are essential.

So it’s necessary to adopt the correct strategy for attempting the exam. It is suggested to take the advice or guidance from teachers or mentors in case of feeling overwhelmed or having some genuine concerns.
