HOW DO TOPPERS DO EFFECTIVE SELF STUDY?

10 SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE STEPS TO DO SELF-STUDY AND SUCCEED

To prepare for JEE and NEET exams, it is important to understand the concepts thoroughly.

Here comes the importance of self study.

SELF STUDY is nothing but putting your own efforts to understand the topic taught in the lectures in an attempt to understand the concept 100%.

Here are the steps taken by topper to do self help or self study from the beginning -

  1. A topper tries to go through the notes of previous lectures to refresh the concepts

  2. A topper gives hundred percent attention in the classroom or during lectures

  3. A topper tries to note down maximum points during lectures because the teachers try to teach in the most simple manner

  4. A topper judges the requirement to go through concepts from a textbook if they do not understand

  5. A topper always clears his/her doubts with self study on priority basis before the next lecture

  6. A topper is very clear in his/her mind to ask from teacher about doubts after completing enough self study or searching of books to know the concepts

  7. Toppers always keep their basics very clear by self study and prepare from basic level to advanced levels

  8. Toppers always find out from the teacher which books or materials to refer to apart from coaching materials such as textbooks, previous year questions, NCERT books etc.

  9. Even if a topper is taking help from more than one teacher, they ensure that their self study hours are not compromised

  10. If toppers are unable to do difficult questions, they do a quick revision and try to solve on their own by referring to higher level books and doing self study.

Self study is the most important part of your exam preparation as it consolidates your efforts, makes you understand better and gives clarity to your concepts which helps in retaining better and boosting confidence!
