How can you divide time across different exams in the 100 days leading up to JEE Advanced 2025?

After the completion of the first JEE Mains exam attempt, it is time to focus on preparation for the board practical and theory exams, the second JEE Mains exam attempt, the JEE Advanced exam, other exams like CET for respective states, and entrance exams by private universities or colleges.

The need of the hour is an analysis of your current preparation level, effective planning, good time management, and the right strategy for the next 100 days.

In this blog, we suggest ways to divide your time and plan for the different types of exams coming up:

1. Board practical exams

These exams may take 1-2 dedicated days of studying and practice for each practical exam. So, take that time and prepare well for them as per the advice of your teachers or college. If you have extra time, it can be utilized to prepare for the board theory exams.

2. Board theory exams

With the dates already announced, preparing for theory and JEE exams is easy after completing the board practical exams. You can divide your time between board theory and JEE preparation (for example, 8 hours for boards and 4 hours for JEE). Try to cover the same topic for both exams on the same day.

JEE preparation should be avoided when the board theory exams are very close, and you should give time for good board exam preparation. This is because a minimum of 75 percent marks are required in each subject in the board exams to qualify for admission into IITs.

3. JEE Mains exam second attempt and other state-level exams

Analyzing your first JEE Mains exam attempt will give you insight into your current level of preparation and how you can improve on it. Good board preparation for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths supports JEE Mains preparation. You should also dedicate time to practicing actual JEE papers from previous years to improve speed, preparation, and good revision.

4. JEE Advanced exam

Preparation for IIT JEE Advanced needs to go one lever higher than the preparation for JEE Mains or CET. Plan and divide your time daily to practice advanced questions and revise Mains level preparation.

We suggest you refer to the modules or materials provided by teachers or your classes till now and coordinate with them in case of difficulties faced for concept clarifications.

Take the help of parents, mentors, and teachers to prioritize and plan these next 100 days for the best outcome!
