Does it make you feel insecure?
We tell you why it is done and why you shouldn’t worry much about the batch you are allotted.
The process of segregation is nothing but formation of student groups based on their performance in coaching institutes. This is done to keep students of similar performance in one batch.
Parents of students who are not in the topmost batches sometimes feel disappointed and this may further affect the performance of their child.
1.Study patterns are related to performance
Try to analyze whether the time allotted to self study is less and is leading to low performance. Many students hardly do self study once they are back from classes while others put consistent efforts at home as well. This can make difference in the performance despite being in a similar batch initially and you may be the reason for your lower batch.
It is important to understand our own shortcomings and work on them. Think of increasing the number of study hours if possible and attempt more questions at home as well. It will gradually improve your performance.
2.Trying to reach unrealistic goals can lead to disappointment
Many times, parents are unaware of their child's real problems and compare their child's marks with batch toppers. If a child is coping up slowly and gradually, comparing them with the topper will put him/ her under a lot of pressure. So keep calm and motivate children to improve gradually. Success will follow.
3.Knowing that the wrong batch is detrimental for growth
If a child is struggling to understand, for example, the JEE Mains portion and is instead being made to focus on the JEE Advanced portion, it may harm them further. So identifying their potential helps them. Gradually and steadily, it is possible to reach from JEE Mains level to JEE Advanced level. The same thing is true for NEET preparation as well.
4.You can always win at the end
When a student consistently puts his/her efforts in the correct direction, with hard work, and understands theory/concepts and attempts questions, he/she can beat many students at the end which were ahead initially.
Stop worrying about batch size, batch level and simply work consistently on yourself and your habits. You will achieve your goals eventually!!
